Organic and Fair Trade tea and tisanes

Sustainability

Inside the Package

  • Our tea sachets are made from natural abacá fiber and are plastic-free. They are also not individually wrapped (no individual envelopes!) and there are no tags or strings attached.

  • The sachets are kept fresh and flavorful in a plastic-free, plant-based cellophane bag.

  • Both the cellophane bag and the tea sachets are plastic-free and compostable!

Conforms to standard ASTM D6400 and/or D6868 BPI by the American Society for Testing and Materials, where such facilities exist.

Reusable & Recyclable Packaging

  • All of our packaging is sourced in North America. Tins, Twinpacks and even our eco labels!

  • Our steel Tins are totally reusable, refillable and recyclable. Don’t throw them away, they are the best way to keep your tea fresh for longer!

  • Our paper Twinpacks are a reduced-packaging-alternative to our giftable & refillable tins. Our Twinpack paper pouches are lined with (plastic-free!) glassine. Once opened, transfer the tea sachets into our tin or into an airtight container to preserve freshness! The paper bag can be safely composted or recycled once empty :-)

  • The labels used on our Twinpacks are designed to have little or no damaging effect on the environment. The label materials are produced from verified renewable resources and are often certified by an independent third party. For example, Forest Stewarship Council (FSC) paper comes from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious and economically viable.

* A note on our Twinpacks: please remove the tin tie before composting or recycling the paper pouch.

Organic - yes - again

We choose Organic because such farming practices increase soil fertility, reduce soil erosion and minimize pollution. From farm to cup, each step is verified by third party audits. Organic farming is better for insects (especially bees!), and for the people who work on and live near the farms. We are passionate about the planet and know that companies have a responsibility to do better, which is what we strive for.

Better for the planet means better for all of us!
